RETEXTURABLE MAZE SCREENSAVER MAC OS X
You will see plasma flame that rotates, changes its brightness, thickness and volume. 5.99 Description: Maze.saver is a Mac OS X implementation of the classic maze screen saver seen on various platforms. Is this whole situation about to flip upside down? Who knows?! It's a wild world in there, and we were all happily along for the ride. Plasma Waves Screensaver is modern special effects screensaver powered by OpenGL technology. Flux is a beautiful screensaver, which will make you fall in love with it, thanks to the entrancing view of particles darting all over the screen called 'flux fields'. At one point, I spent way to much time designing my own custom tiles with fully interlacing circuit/pipe patterns just to see my wasted creative energy 'in action'. Not only could you swap the wall, floor, and ceiling patterns around, but you could insert your own bitmap images. The thrills! You never knew what was going to happen. What I liked about this screensaver was the customization settings. Maybe it's because I don't even use a screen saver anymore (I'm a classy grown-up I just put my computer to "sleep"), but I can't recall anything in the past 20 years that comes close to being as mesmerizing, alluring, frustrating, and exquisite as being lost in the Windows maze. Where did it all start? When was the first time I came to know the blissful, self-loathing joy of spacing out for hours in front of a computer screen without doing a single goddamn useful thing? When I went back through the years, I found where it all began: the maze screen saver on Windows 95. That includes the psychadelic textures that appeared in a later version of the 3D. Other old Windows assets make their appearances. As I pulled myself out of yet another hours-long YouTube rabbit hole last night, unkinked my sedentary, aging bones from their computer desk position, and blinked my red, dry eyes back into a vaguely functioning state, I started wondering where my life had all gone so horribly wrong, the way any junkie does while pulling themselves up after another ill-advised binge. When you find a happy face, its time to move on to the next maze.
